Breaking news in the NFL. Detroit Lions superstar receiver Calvin Johnson could be retiring in the near future. In a shocking statement released by Johnson himself and the Lions today, Johnson is currently contemplating his football future.
This is definitely the most shocking news of the day, not only is Calvin Johnson only 30 years old, which is decently young for a wide receiver, but he’s been the best wide receiver for the last 5 years.
If he were to retire, he would finish career with 11,619 yards and 83 touchdowns in 9 years. He also broke Jerry Rice’s record for yards in a season back in 2012 with 1,964.
Calvin Johnson would no doubt be a Hall of Famer, and if he does retire, would leave a huge hole in the Detroit Lions roster.
