These are my College Football Picks of the Week. If you want put them to the test, put a little money down on My Bookie. If you want to sit on your rear end, drink beer, and call me an idiot on Monday cause I was way off, be my guest. Enjoy the weekend of College Football!
Boise State (-12) vs. Virginia
The boys from Boise are back. Will win by 2 TD’s without question. Virginia is another mediocre school from the ACC.
Result: Boise will cover
Duke (-1) vs. UNC
This is one of those shootout games. Both teams lack defense so take the over for sure but plan on Duke to make the Heels pay during Football season, will win by at least a field goal.
Result: Duke will cover
Michigan (-10) vs. Purdue
Jimmy H and the boys will easily get over 10 on PurWHO, great looking team this year firing on all cylinders. Purdue looked decent against Louisville, but Jeff Brohm is a rookie Big Ten coach, will take him a few years to get the Boilermakers back up to speed.
Result: Michigan will cover
Penn State (-12) vs. Iowa
This game will be closer than 12. It’s in Iowa City and Iowa is like the Brewers, plays like dog crap against mediocre competition and plays wells against the elite of the Big Ten. Cowherd can say all he wants about Ferenz, but the guy does well against ranked teams even if they don’t come out on top.
Result: Iowa will cover
Boston College vs. Clemson (-34)
Clemson will win by at least 5 TD’s. Boston College will remain the laughing stock of the ACC.
Result: Clemson will cover
Mississippi State vs. Georgia (-4.5)
If you asked me last week if Mississippi State could beat a Top 15 team, I’d say you’re dreaming. After a win vs. LSU? A lot more faith, but I will still take the DAWGS by 6 or more.
Result: Georgia will cover
LA Tech vs. South Carolina (9.5)
South Carolina looked not so good against UK last week, but they are still playing LA Tech. Take the 9.5 even though Muschamp still doesn’t have business coaching in the SEC like Bielema.
Result: South Carolina will cover
UMASS vs. Tennessee (-28)
UMASS has yet to prove they are a BCS caliber program. Tennessee looked like a total bust last week against the Gators. 28 is too much to me, UMASS keeps it within 4 TDS
Result: UMASS will cover
West Virginia (-21) vs. Kansas
Hell, I would take the Mountaineers by like 5 TD’s. Kansas just needs to get rid of their dismal football program. WVU will easily get over the 21.
Result: West Virginia will cover
Florida (-1) vs. Kentucky
Thank you Vegas for this one. Florida will DEFINITELY win by more than 1. Watching UK struggle this season with their FCS rivals to the South, Eastern Kentucky allows me with no faith in the Big Blue Nation.
Result: Florida will cover
UCF vs. Maryland (-4)
Maryland is definitely on the come up in the Big Ten this year. Take the Terps by the 4, probably will win by at least 7+.
Result: Maryland will cover
Kent State vs. Louisville (-44)
Louisville WILL NOT win by 6 TD’s, especially after getting rocked by #3 Clemson last week. Louisville by 30+
Result: Kent State will cover
Ohio vs. Eastern Michigan (-2.5)
Ohio beat up on Kansas at home a week ago, however Eastern Michigan is a top 4 MAC program this year. My answer? EMU by at least a field goal.
Result: Eastern Michigan will cover
Old Dominion vs. Virginia Tech (-28)
Haven’t ever watched a down of Old Dominion Football in my life so with that being said, take your Hokies by at least 28.
Result: Virginia Tech will cover
Georgia Southern vs. Indiana (-24)
The Hoosiers always let me and the Big Ten down when I need them to play ball. GA will only lose by 2 TD’s and maybe a field goal. Do NOT take IU.
Result: Georgia Southern will cover
Florida Atlantic vs. Buffalo (-3)
Take the Owls over the Bulls. Lance Leipold may have been a great coach at UW-Whitewater but they lost to Army two weeks ago and BARELY got by Colgate. Kiffin and the boys from FAU will win this one.
Result: Florida Atlantic will cover
Rutgers vs. Nebraska (-12)
Nebraska WILL win but not by much, definitely not 12.
Result: Rutgers will cover
Arkansas vs. Texas A&M (-2.5)
Talk about two coaches that probably won’t have a job at the end of the season, you have it with Bielema and Sumlin. A&M will win by at least 3. GIG EM
Result: A&M will cover
Alabama (-18) vs. Vanderbilt
Of course, the Roll Tide gang will win but this games in Nashvegas and the Commodores are going to come out to play. Alabama looked poor against COLORADO STATE and wasn’t even close to the spread. Saban and Bama will get it done, but by TWO TDs.
Result: Vandy will cover
Best of luck with your picks!!
